Thank You, "Mrs. Fair"; Sueann Townsend to serve as Acting Executive Director
Catherine Fair has resigned from the directorship of Amherst Ballet effective January 3, 2012. Mrs. Fair is a much-loved dance educator and talented choreographer; she is leaving Amherst Ballet to relocate out of state. The Amherst Ballet community thanks Mrs. Fair for her 15 years of service and long lasting contributions. 
Amherst Ballet’s board of directors is pleased to announce that Sueann Townsend has been named Acting Executive Director. Townsend joined the faculty of Amherst Ballet in 2008 and brings a wealth of performance and teaching experience to bear as Acting Executive Director. Townsend is producing Amherst Ballet’s 40th Anniversary Repertoire performances, scheduled for May 26, 2012 at Bowker Auditorium. These performances will feature a resetting of one work from each decade of Amherst Ballet’s 40 years.
Amherst Ballet looks forward to Ms. Townsend continuing our mission to provide excellent dance education and performances in our area. |
